The source is not published. Anyone the copyright holder gives access to this repository, or to a build made from it, may use it only as set out here. It is not an open-source release.

You may:

  1. read, clone and build the source for personal evaluation, study or review;
  2. run the resulting application on your own Mac for your own recordings;
  3. quote short excerpts of the source or documentation for commentary, with attribution to Telltake.

You may not, without the copyright holder's prior written permission:

  1. redistribute the source, in whole or in part, or any build made from it;
  2. publish modified versions, forks intended for distribution, or derived works;
  3. use the source or builds commercially, including offering them as a service;
  4. use the name "Telltake", the domain telltake.com or the app icon to identify any other software.

Contributions: this repository does not currently accept outside contributions. If you send a patch or suggestion anyway, you agree that the copyright holder may use it under these terms without obligation.

Not covered by these terms: the recordings, transcripts, provider responses, exports and evaluation evidence used to develop Telltake. They belong to the people who recorded them, are not part of this repository, and no permission to use them is granted or implied. The synthetic media fixtures under Tests/EasycutMediaTests/Fixtures are generated tone and colour and carry no creator data.

Third-party services: Telltake sends data to Doubao (ByteDance / Volcengine) and OpenAI only on the user's instruction and under the user's own accounts and those providers' terms. See docs/privacy.md.

No warranty: the software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, and the copyright holder is not liable for any damages arising from its use.

These terms may change for future versions. A later decision to release the source under an open-source license would be a separate, explicit act.
